*The deadline to complete SPARC for this Semester is 2/14/2025.
All club leaders and Macaulay Scholars Council representatives are required to complete SPARC (Sexual & Interpersonal Violence Prevention and Response Course) Training within the academic year in which they are serving in their position.
You only need to complete SPARC once per academic year; if you’ve completed this already with your home campus please submit the certificate HERE.
Macaulay has its own SPARC course on Blackboard. Throughout the Club registration period each Semester, Student Development will automatically enroll all listed Club Leaders, Scholars Council Representatives, and relevant groups in our SPARC Course. (For this semester we are using the Fall 2024 SPARC course.) It is the student’s responsibility for them to complete SPARC before our completion deadline each semester. See instructions below on how to complete your course:
- Log into your Blackboard account.
- On the home screen, locate the “Organization Search” bar.
- Type in [Macaulay] and click “Go.”
- Scroll to find our campus’ course for the semester that you are in or going into. Do not enroll in a course that is from the previous academic year – this will not satisfy the completion requirement. You must enroll in the course for the current semester you are in or going into. (Search for Fall 2024)
- Click on the Course Link (blue text)
- You can now access “SPARC TRAINING” in the left sidebar
- Complete your SPARC Course and Test!
SPARC Troubleshooting Tips:
- Please disable pop-up blockers while using Blackboard.
- Use Firefox or Google Chrome as your browser (complete on desktop or laptop, not on your phone)
- Once the course is completed, take a screenshot of your certificate to save your completion.
- Email student.clubs@mhc.cuny.edu if you encounter any issues.
