Instrument Use & Cabaret Stage

Instruments, amps, and other equipment are not to be removed from the Cabaret (unless with specific and explicit permission). To utilize these resources, reservations must be made for the Cabaret space. After use, return all instruments to the side stage area, unless otherwise instructed.

Any organization utilizing the Cabaret stage or instruments are responsible for moving instruments to these positions at the close of their reservations, with the stage cleared:

  • All instruments, music stands, or other materials, must be pushed to the side stage (stage right) after each use.
  • Amps may be pushed to the side stage or along the back wall.
  • Microphone stands along with stage cubes should be left on the right side of the stage (stage left)
  • Microphones and other excess cables can be stored in the microphone crate under the sound board

An additional keyboard is located in the Pantry, and may be used in alternative spaces. Clubs not utilizing the cabaret have priority over the pantry keyboard. This must be returned to the pantry after each use. (Keyboard can remain in pantry until further need arises)

Additional concerns regarding Cabaret:

  • Be sure to turn off sound board (mixer) and amp (under sound board) after each use.
  • Use remote to control stage lights and turn off after use; please return remote to the right of sound board.

For assistance with stage lighting or additional sound concerns in advance of an event, contact Robert.Small@mhc.cuny.edu.

Additional stage, “back stage”, or facilities concerns can be directed to Sara.Mazes@mhc.cuny.edu.
