Hii!! My name is Mircely, I’m from Yonkers, NY and I will be majoring in Speech Pathology and Audiology!! I’m very eager to be embarking on this new journey with you all, and to apply to be a part of the Macaulay Scholars Council. A little bit about myself is that my favorite show is Criminal Minds, I love meeting new people, hanging out with friends, and exploring the city! The aspect that I’m most excited about in college is creating a community that I can truly bond and connect with at both Lehman and Macaulay. If I am selected for this position, I hope to use it as an opportunity to help create a more close-knit honors community within Lehman for students to be able to engage and support one other. I’m also very big on accessible communication, where people can feel welcome to raise concerns or ask about any future events. In addition to applying to this scholars council, I plan on joining different clubs/organizations such as the Macaulay Peace Action and New York Cares to bring awareness to issues and provide solutions. I hope to connect with all of you, and be able to hear your voices!
