Hello everyone! My name is Harlean Seth and I am an incoming freshmen at Baruch College.
My experience and skills:
Throughout my high school years I dedicated a lot of my time into community service and leadership. I baked casseroles for a local church, cooked meals for the staff at my school with the help of my mom, assisted in decorating the auditorium for the state of city address when I used to live in Georgia, cleaned the local library, painted our school’s garden and organized a Halloween event for younger kids at my high school. Additionally, I raised awareness and collected donations for the needy at a donation center.
Beyond my volunteer work, I have also been a part of many honor societies, clubs and Deca throughout my high school years. Other than academics and volunteer projects, I played tennis and bowled for my high school team. During the summer of junior year, I started working at Target to make some extra money and start saving for college.
Through these experiences and projects, I have learned the value of teamwork, organization, communication and leadership. These are also the skills I am eager to bring to the student council.
Why I want your vote:
Student council isn’t just about organizing events or representing our school, it’s about creating meaningful connections and ensuring every voice is heard. My background has taught me how to collaborate, solve problems and lead with empathy. Whether it’s planning initiatives to support our community, improve school, spirit and advocating for everyone’s needs. i’m committed to working hard to make to make our college experience better for everyone.
