What’s up everyone I’m Haobo aka Max and I am running to be your Macaulay Scholars Representative for Baruch! A quick introduction about myself: I am a Quantitative Data Modeling major from Queens!!! I love soccer ⚽ and basketball 🏀 so if you are into any of those sports let me know what teams you support! I’ve also done volunteer work at city zoos 🐼 and I love pets! I have a cat named Leo so dog owners don’t be hating on me 💀. I do hip hop as well! I served for several years as my high school’s Hip-Hop Dance Director, organizing countless performances, and as President of Stuy Outlet Showcase (SOS), where we helped direct an end-of-year mental health celebration for our school community. I love to spread positive energy and I honestly wish you all could have a great time during our four years together!
Being a Macaulay Scholar at Baruch means being surrounded by incredibly ambitious students. But between rigorous coursework, internships, recruiting, and everything else we’re already thinking about as freshmen, it’s easy for our four years to become all work and no community. I want to make sure that doesn’t happen. I want your concerns to actually reach Scholars Council while helping build a Baruch Macaulay community that makes our college experience genuinely memorable 🤫!
My Mission:
Actually Useful Hangouts: I will definitely be promoting events, parties, and hosting activities so you all get to know each other. Macaulay Baruch students will have chances to share opportunities and benefit one another. Some examples of the events you would see are watching a sports game, hiking trips🏞️ or beach hangout🏖️, coffee chats during winter, organized corporate tours 💸, etc.
Fighting For Better Student Transportation: We’re literally running as a subway-themed slate, so of course transportation is one of our priorities 🚇. As commuter students, transportation costs add up quickly. Together with the other M-Line representatives across Macaulay campuses, I’ll advocate for expanded Student OMNY access and other transportation resources for CUNY students.
Your Voice Straight to Council: A quick, anonymous link to drop what’s bothering you about classes, funding, or campus life, and I’ll take it straight to the meetings. This will either be a simple form or a website where I can see your feedback.
A Better Baruch Plaza: And lastly… yes, I’ve noticed the 🌿 too 💀. Everyone should have comfortable places to study, eat, and hang out between classes. While the plaza is a public city space, I’ll advocate for better enforcement of existing smoke-free policies around campus entryways and for cleaner, better-maintained outdoor seating areas.

If I don’t respond for some reason, you will always find me during community events, maybe even catch me at parties if you can 😜 ! Go Bearcats!
I’m also proud to be running as part of The M-Line 🚇, a slate of Class of 2030 candidates across multiple Macaulay campuses working together to make Macaulay feel like one community rather than eight separate ones.
By running as a slate, we are able to bridge the gap between campuses. There’s power in numbers so we promise to create a more unified community and fight for the issues that affect all CUNY students including transportation, communication, finances, and making CUNY a more memorable experience.
