    Dylan Torres

    Dear Mountain Lions and Bearcats,

    My name is Dylan Torres, and I am running to be your MSC class representative once again! This year has been a journey, but even after struggling through BUS2000H and traveling across the city for our seminars, we still made it here… and I appreciate all the support you guys have shown over this past year together!

    As our responsibilities continue to grow, I want to continue to serve as a resource for all of you, and a friendly face you can turn to when you have questions. These past 2 semesters, I have delivered on nearly all of my initial campaign promises. I have also worked diligently to provide you all with monthly updates, and plan exciting events like the Welcome Back Fair, Club Council, the Macaulay Olympics, and more! I have also served on the Finance, and Campus Affairs Committees, approving budgets and working closely with clubs at Macaulay Central. I even got to name the Mountain Lion!

    This is a role I hope to grow into, a role that will allow me to continue to provide Macaulay Baruch students with news, and opportunities to connect with their dual- campus identities. In the coming year, I hope to expand my role on council by running for E-board and providing greater transparency to students in regards to club budgets and MSC planning.     Rad. City. The Person speaks more volumes than the experience

    It is not fair to all of you if I write experience as my reason for re-election, especially when it is an opportunity that was not readily available to anyone else who wanted to gain it. I will not use incumbency status to my advantage. The incumbent effect is real (you can search it up), particularly in student elections.

    Take away my experience, who is the person left after that? The one who shows up to campus even on days with fully remote classes to inform you in-person about home campus opportunities and events.

    You know me. You’re aware of my beliefs. You can tell where I stand. You hear my optimism for our cohort as a whole. You notice me doing things outside and beyond this Council. And lastly, you see my compassion for your success before my own.

    Isaiah Muniz

    Hello Macaulay Mates!! My name is Isaiah, and I’m running to be reelected as your Macaulay Student Council Representative. When I originally ran for MSC during the fall semester, I promised I would work to ensure a strong connection between Lehman and Macaulay Central. I also promised to be a supportive figure, helping to guide and enrich our college experience. Over the past several months, I have established myself as that figure, managing group chats, sending reminder emails, and serving as a point of contact for everything related to Macaulay and Lehman.

    In November, I attended a meeting with Dean Dara N. Byrne during her visit to Lehman College. I expressed my concerns about bridging the gap between Lehman and Macaulay, despite their geographic separation. I have sent the monthly MSC emails to ensure you are all aware of everything going on academically, socially, and professionally at Macaulay. I have reminded you all of the volunteer work we did at Van Cordlant Park, answered any other questions, and addressed any concerns.

    At Macaulay Central, I joined the Student Life Committee, which plans all the fun events in the building. During the Halloween Party in October, I planned an escape room single-handedly, which hosted 12 student groups and over 60 students in total. I have also broadcast events hosted by other groups, such as the collaborative wellness project. I am currently working in the ceremony committee for the Macaulay Olympiad and am the Team Captain of Lehman. Beyond the events themselves, our efforts in this partnership have increased Lehman’s engagement with Macaulay Central.

    In addition to MSC, I’m also a staff reporter for the Macaulay Messenger and the Macaulay Lehman 2029 rep on the Honors Council. We are planning some fun events, stay tuned :)). The past few months have been a wonderful growing experience, connecting and representing all of you at Macaulay. With your permission, I would love to do it again.

    Hello CSI Macaulay!!
    I’m running to be reelected to the Macaulay Scholars Council and I’d really appreciate your support again!

    You’ve probably seen my monthly emails (yes, the ones with the joke at the top and me asking “what was the joke” to make sure you actually read it). That wasn’t just for fun. It was my way of keeping communication consistent, making sure you’re informed and giving you a reason to actually stay engaged with Macaulay events.

    As your representative, I’ve made it a priority to actually represent CSI. At council meetings, I’ve brought up the challenges we face (especially commuting to the Macaulay building) and made sure our concerns are heard, not overlooked.

    I’ve also shown up in person. Whether it’s events like the Halloween party or other Macaulay events, I’ve been there, talking to you guys, making connections and helping build a stronger sense of community at CSI and across campuses. Representation isn’t just about meetings, it’s about actually being present.

    I’ve also tried to be someone you can come to whenever you need to, whether you have questions or need help finding resources or just want to know more about MSC. Having someone approachable and responsive matters, and I’ve made that a priority.

    As Advertising Chair for the upcoming Macaulay Olympics, I worked to make sure CSI students weren’t just hearing about events after they happened, but actually involved. I helped get students to participate in making content and feel like they were part of something bigger across Macaulay.

    Outside of council, my work with Macaulay Peace Action as Social Media and Outreach Coordinator has been very important. Through this, we have helped create spaces within Macaulay where students can engage with real-world issues, have meaningful conversations, and feel like they’re part of something bigger and more impactful. This is about making Macaulay a place where students feel heard and supported beyond just academics.
