    Hello everyone 🙂

    I hope to represent you all for another year! During my time in council, I have worked with students from Macaulay and Lehman to strengthen our community, from supporting with events at Macaulay central to introducing a now annual CHASE picnic. If I were to get reelected for the next academic year, I would continue to work towards fostering both groups, increasing the number of on-campus events and increasing Lehman visibility.

    Ralph Osias

    Hi everyone!

    I’m proud to announce that I’ll be running to be your MSC representative for our fourth and final year! The past three years on Council have been incredibly memorable, and with your support, the last will be even better yet!

    During my time on MSC, I’ve served on the IT/Comms committee, and as of last year, I’ve had the privilege of serving as its Vice-President. Within this role, I’ve been responsible for overseeing all MSC social media, newsletters, and communications, helping build lasting bridges between Macaulay and the broader student body by platforming all of the various clubs, events, opportunities, and resources available/happening at Macaulay. As we enter our senior year, I hope to help facilitate robust senior-centered programming and social media campaigns in concert with Student Development, working to deliver a Senior Sendoff that will be one for the books!

    I’ve also taken great pleasure in being a class representative for my peers, acting as a conduit between the John Jay and Macaulay communities! Come fall, I plan on continuing to advocate on your behalf, aiming to ensure that your collective voices are respected, supported, and amplified!

    Hi everyone!

    My name is Susan, and I am a rising senior at CCNY. I have had the honor of serving as our class representative for the past three years, and I hope to continue for our final year! (crazy to think about)
    This past year, I’ve had the privilege of serving as the president of the council. This means repping our class, but also leading the council of 31 other representatives across the 8 campuses.
    If re-elected, my goals are to continue supporting you as we approach milestones like study abroad opportunities, the capstone project, and more. I want to be a resource for you to help ensure that everyone feels prepared, supported, and connected.

    George Tom

    For the past 3 years, I have served as my cohort’s representative on MSC, advocating for student needs both in monthly council meetings and on campus through various communication channels. Most recently, I had the honor of serving as the Co-Chair of the Macaulay Olympics – one of Macaulay’s premier events that is now in its second year and is expected to be enshrined into the many traditions our college is and will be known for in the generations to come.

    From planning events like the Macaulay Olympics to facilitating an open and kind discussion forum with our Instagram group, I remain committed to fostering a community built on collaboration and not on competition – a core value of mine that I am confident will allow all of us to be the best we can.

    I am proud and deeply appreciative of all the new friends I have made these past few years. Representative or not, I look forward to maintaining these relationships as not only your peer but as your friend through and through. Inclusion has always been crucial in my mission to foster a community both in Macaulay and at Hunter, a value I will always uphold as your representative. While I can inundate you with the age-old phrase “your voice matters,” I do not want or need to tell you that – each and every one of you has given me a platform to advocate on your behalf and will always be amazing individuals in my heart. I am confident that my experiences and qualities will speak more to my candidacy than these words, and if I still haven’t gotten the chance to meet you, hi!

This past year was very eventful as your rep hosting our first Civic Engagement event, and i’m looking forward to hosting events like the fireside chat and the transfer students event later this semester.     Ava Monaco

    Hey Mountain Lions!! My name is Ava Monaco, a Financial Mathematics major and CS minor in Weissman. I might look familiar to some of you, since I’m your current Class of 2027 Rep!

    I would love to represent you all again in the Macaulay Scholars Council. So far, I’ve helped reinstate the Macaulay Olympics (with free food and prizes, check your emails for more info!), increase funding for Macaulay Business Club and MHC++, and plan a Baruch-specific networking event with Macaulay alumni, as well as an end of year picnic!

    Outside of the Scholars Council, I’m also an E-board member for Baruch’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC)–I show up for Baruch in every way that I can. If re-elected, I will continue to provide the campus with news and all the career opportunities I can find (knowing Baruch, you’ve probably found them all first), as well as work to provide more transparency in the process of club/event funding and planning, especially cross-campus.

    Hey guys!! I’m so grateful to have been the scholars council representative for three years now! I would love to continue for our last and hopefully strongest year! It has been an amazing opportunity to help organize so many events for everyone to enjoy! We are now in our second consecutive year of the Macaulay Olympics, which we brought back after ten years!! ☺️☺️

    Nasir Anderson

    Hey Everyone!

    My name is Nasir Anderson, and I am excited to announce that I will be running again to represent the 2027 cohort at Queens College for the 2026-2027 school year! I’ve enjoyed serving as a point person for my cohort members these three years on the Macaulay Scholars Council. I have sent endless updates in our group chat about ways to get involved within the community and social events, and have been receptive to ideas on how we can make our home campus a place for all. In addition to sending out monthly updates for my cohort and for the staff.

    This year, I had the pleasure to serve as the Vice President of Student Life for another year, where I coordinated MSC’s social events like the Freshmen Mixer, Halloween Party, and Winter Formal. I am glad that I had the opportunity to contribute to the mission of MSC in creating cross-campus events for people to come together from all eight campuses to take a break from our studies. Additionally, I was on the planning committee for the Macaulay Olympics again, in which we came together monthly to discuss ideas for the events and how we could get students involved. Through my work on the Scholars Council, I found joy in being a leader in the Macaulay community, and I would love to continue to do this again next year.

    If re-elected, I will continue to advocate for student concerns to the council to ensure their voices are heard, no matter how big or small. I will effectively be a bridge between Macaulay and Queens to ensure that everyone knows what is going on at Macaulay. I will continue to connect my cohort with the proper resources needed to be successful. I want to keep this Macaulay Queens community thriving because our journey here at Macaulay is not done as we enter our senior year; I want to ensure everyone feels supported and connected to Macaulay despite the distance. I am excited to see what next year has to offer, and whatever is thrown at us, I will be sure to stand behind you guys and amplify any concerns you may have.
