My name is Renae and I’m running to be your MSC representative for Hunter (Go Hawks 💜)!
A little bit about me: As Speech & Debate Captain and Stuyvesant’s Model UN Director General (leading a combined number of 600+ members), I earned 7th place at S&D Nationals and have won Best Delegate at several collegiate conferences. More importantly, I’ve coached my teams to win 1st place at S&D States and multiple East Coast MUN conferences! 🌅 I also organized 6 conferences with UN guest speakers, hosting 1000+ attendees, which helped me fight for social justice and meet hundreds of people from across the Tri-state area and beyond.
It’s certainly fun to hold a trophy, but these two teams are memorable because they taught me what it means to be a TRUE Leader. It’s not just about representing people or managing operations, it means connecting with them 🤝 by learning about who they are and their stories. From late-night pizza runs to impromptu dance parties, I can certainly say that I’ve made friends that will last a lifetime. 🍕🕺
So, why am I running to be your MSC rep? Anything that you need—whether that be a shoulder to cry on or an event that you want to see—I want to be the person that you come to! ✊ I’d love to host workshops on public speaking and end-of-finals parties where we can all spend time together. I am more than ready to use my voice to advocate for YOU, for EVERYONE! 🗣
