I’m Renae, your current Macaulay Scholars Council representative, and I’m excited to announce that I am running for re-election! I am so appreciative of your continued support and hope to continue my support for you all as your representative❣️
These past few months have been quite a ride for me—from making mocktails at our Halloween party to running around the Macaulay building for all of my different clubs. It’s safe to say that I love to be deeply involved in the Macaulay community, and I’d love to extend this involvement to you guys! 🫵
Moving forward, I’m excited to host more events and provide different resources targeting Macaulay Hunter students. There’s a huge gap between Hunter and Macaulay that I’d like to bridge through more engaging opportunities, like the flower bouquet-making event that us Hunter representatives hosted in our lounge this week. I’d love to use our lounge as a space to foster community, whether we’re just hanging out or studying together for midterms (good luck to those of you who are already in the trenches). I’m looking forward to finding new ways to optimize the space and give you all the resources that you need! 📚
On a more nostalgic note, I’m so thankful to have had the opportunity to get to know so many of you this past year. All of you inspire me to become a better leader, and I hope to do so by inviting you to give MSC some feedback! As a member of the Campus Affairs committee, I am currently working on hosting a forum in which you can give us some feedback on how we’re doing. Ultimately, your voice matters to me, informing the work I’m doing as your representative. 🤗
