To my classmates and friends, my name is Dylan Torres and I am running to be YOUR Freshman representative for Baruch College for the class of 2029. I’m going to keep this short and sweet because as Macaulay students, I’m sure your time is limited, and valuable.
In High School I served as the student representative for the Board of Education for my local school district in upstate New York. I have also served as the President of both the Debate and Environmental clubs. My point here is that experience counts, and as someone who has taken on a variety of leadership roles in the past, I believe I have the experience necessary to represent you all effectively. I’m sure many of you have already met me or seen me around various events. Those of you that do know me hopefully also know that I am an outgoing and communicative person 🙂
However, this campaign isn’t about me, it’s about all of you! All of your hard work and dedication deserves to be recognized and represented. I want your vote so that I can have the platform to bring ATTENTION (ignore the gorilla) to all of your needs, desires, and the amazing achievements you all will accomplish in your first year of college.
