Hi Scholars!

My name is Jaicee, and I am running for re-election to be your representative for the 2026-2027 school year!

I’m very grateful that I have had the opportunity to serve as your Macaulay Scholar’s Council representative for the past year. Being able to help connect the eight campuses and improve my cohort’s Macaulay experience has been such a privilege.

As a representative, I attended meetings on the council in Manhattan and also with Director Sadhoo and the other Queens representatives here at QC. I have sent out updates on news, events, and opportunities, whether social or career-oriented, through emails and fliers in the lounge.

This past year, I have been a member of the Student Life Committee, aiding in the preparation of events such as the Halloween Party, Valentine’s Movie Night, and the Holiday Party at QC. Additionally, I am an E-board member of Macaulay Art Tank and, starting this semester, a member of QC’s Honors SLT. I hope to use this experience to improve in helping connect students to opportunities at Macaulay Central, but also here at QC.

Hi, QC Macaulay! I am running to be re-elected as your representative for the Macaulay Scholars Council, and I would really appreciate your support!

Going into your junior year, I hope to be someone you feel you could rely on as we get closer to ending our academic journeys. I hope to continue to send more opportunities and events in our cohort group chat to help our cohort feel more a part of the larger Macaulay community. If elected, I hope to address even more of your concerns and worries to help make you really feel that sense of belonging that Macaulay wants us all to have.

Currently I serve on the IT/Communications and Finance committees. Helping to manage the Macaulay Class of 2027 Instagram and Macaulay Scholars Council Instagram, creating many reels and posts to help promote events and opportunities at Macaulay. With the Finance Committee, I help to oversee budgets to ensure student activities and clubs are able to receive the funding necessary to be successful in their endeavors. I look forward to supporting the larger Macaulay community and to even further my impact if reelected.

Additionally, I am a part of Peer Mentors, where I was able to welcome the incoming freshmen and help them to find a sense of community that some may have been worried about when attending a school like Macaulay. Through peer mentors, I was able to help many freshmen and be a support to them as they navigate their first year of college.

If re-elected, I hope to listen to your concerns and advocate for the resources we need at QC Macaulay and to help strengthen the sense of community we have been working on. I hope you chose to vote for me!

Hey Everyone!

My name is Nasir Anderson, and I am excited to announce that I will be running again to represent the 2027 cohort at Queens College for the 2026-2027 school year! I’ve enjoyed serving as a point person for my cohort members these three years on the Macaulay Scholars Council. I have sent endless updates in our group chat about ways to get involved within the community and social events, and have been receptive to ideas on how we can make our home campus a place for all. In addition to sending out monthly updates for my cohort and for the staff.

This year, I had the pleasure to serve as the Vice President of Student Life for another year, where I coordinated MSC’s social events like the Freshmen Mixer, Halloween Party, and Winter Formal. I am glad that I had the opportunity to contribute to the mission of MSC in creating cross-campus events for people to come together from all eight campuses to take a break from our studies. Additionally, I was on the planning committee for the Macaulay Olympics again, in which we came together monthly to discuss ideas for the events and how we could get students involved. Through my work on the Scholars Council, I found joy in being a leader in the Macaulay community, and I would love to continue to do this again next year.

If re-elected, I will continue to advocate for student concerns to the council to ensure their voices are heard, no matter how big or small. I will effectively be a bridge between Macaulay and Queens to ensure that everyone knows what is going on at Macaulay. I will continue to connect my cohort with the proper resources needed to be successful. I want to keep this Macaulay Queens community thriving because our journey here at Macaulay is not done as we enter our senior year; I want to ensure everyone feels supported and connected to Macaulay despite the distance. I am excited to see what next year has to offer, and whatever is thrown at us, I will be sure to stand behind you guys and amplify any concerns you may have.
