    Nasir Anderson

    Hey everyone, I’m Nasir Anderson, and I’m excited to announce that I’ll be running again to be your Vice President of Student Life!
    I’ve served on the Student Life Committee since my first year on Council, and last year I had the opportunity to step into the role of Vice President. Through this position, I successfully contributed to MSC’s mission of creating an engaged and inclusive student body through cross-campus events, while also sharpening my leadership and event-planning skills. I was in charge of planning some of Macaulay’s biggest social events, including the Freshman Mixer and Halloween Party, both of which had over 200 attendees — the largest turnout we’ve had in years! Over the past year, I’ve learned a lot about collaboration, team leading, and how to ensure events reflect the interests of our diverse student body. If re-elected, I want to build on that progress by planning more interactive events, improving outreach, and collaborating with clubs and committees to make student life even more vibrant. Additionally, I want to try to increase Macaulay’s visibility through partnerships with nearby businesses. I’m running again because I’m passionate about creating spaces where Macaulay students feel welcomed, celebrated, and excited to be part of this community. I know that as honors students we tend to overwork ourselves, and I want to create a space where students can come together and enjoy each other’s company.

    Neil Sukhra

    Hello QC Macaulay Knights‼️ I’m Neil Sukhra, an intended Neuroscience/Biology major 🧠 on the pre-health track 🩺 and a candidate for sophomore class representative for MSC. Here at QC, we strive to build and uphold our community of scholars and like-minded individuals. As your future rep, I intend to bolster and achieve the latter. Our campus is a diverse mosaic of unique and valuable voices, and I want to have them all represented.

    Here’s why I’m YOUR candidate to do so: I possess experience in executive positions for 5+ distinct cultural/ethnic clubs throughout high school at Brooklyn Tech (Pakistani Influence Club, Asian Diversity Initiative, and Hindu Student Association, among others), including some not familiar to me. I am a member of the Guyanese Student Association here at Queens College and the Macaulay Pre-Health club. I have also been a long-youth leader and advocate for my ethnic community. I love to sing or play classical Guyanese/Indian instruments in my free time, and I plan on teaching some students in the near future. I’ve recently picked up badminton, but my allergies have been holding me back lately (possibly more tissues and recreational resources in the Macaulay lounge✅).

    In the same ways I promote learning and showing talent, I want to eventually curate fun events to display the unique aspects of each and every one of us, or to allow us to learn new things about the people we may see every day (or to get us some more food😋). If not any of those, I want all of us to obtain valuable insight that will help us in the long run with anything we plan to tackle. And if not THAT, I want to establish some fun activities for us to de-stress and decompress, like game nights or talent shows. Whether or not you happen to see me on campus or elsewhere, don’t hesitate to reach out! One of my favorite things to do is to learn and discover everyone’s goals, interests, and achievements. Establishing more resources for specific tracks (pre-health, dental, law, education, etc) and general academic/mental support initiatives are among my main ambitions. Though I value US🤝 as a group, individual wellness and mental prosperity for YOU🫵🏽 are integral for group success.

    Throughout my life, I’ve been a major advocate of staying home and eating good food on my lonesome. My time speaking to fascinating peers in the lounge and at the Macaulay building has changed the staying home part. After commuting the long way to Macaulay central every week, I can say that my largest aim is to bring that same feeling to all of you. There’s nothing I value more than to see the camaraderie of our cohort through troublesome classes, planning, and deadlines. I hope to offer as much support as I can to all of you guys, or at least an ear if you happen to have anything on your mind. I’m more than happy to hear your comments or concerns so that I can make a difference in any way I can. Help me help us all to help each other! 😁

    Ziv Nachshon

    Hey Macaulay Queens 2026!

    Firstly, I want to thank you all for electing me to serve as your MSC representative for the past two years!

    On the council, I have had the privilege of being part of the campus affairs committee, helping with all club-related things at Macaulay. Most importantly, I have been able to provide support for clubs whenever they need it.

    Additionally, this past year, I have been able to invite Macaulay’s Career Development and Wellness Center to host workshops for us all at Queens: bringing part of Macaulay Central to you all. These are some events that I hope to continue creating for you all next year.

    For our senior year, I plan to work with the administration at Macaulay and Queens to create an unforgettable year for us all, including working with you all to get feedback on senior sendoff events. Lastly, I will continue to foster connections between our class and build bridges between us at Queens and Macaulay Central.

    It would be an honor if you re-elect me to serve as your representative for the 2025 – 2026 academic year.

    Hey Everyone!

    My name is Nasir Anderson, and I am excited to announce that I will be running again to represent the 2027 cohort at Queens College for the 2025-2026 school year! I’ve enjoyed serving as a point person for my cohort members these two years on the Macaulay Scholars Council. I have sent endless updates in our group chat about ways to get involved within the community, and social events, and have been receptive to ideas on how we can make our home campus for all. In addition to sending out monthly updates for my cohort and for the staff.

    This year, I had the pleasure to serve as the Vice President of Student Life, where I coordinated MSC’s social events like the Freshmen Mixer, Halloween party, and Winter Formal. I am glad that I had the opportunity to contribute to the mission of MSC in creating cross-campus events for people to come together from all eight campuses to take a break from our studies. Additionally, I was on the planning committee for the Macaulay Olympics, in which we came together monthly to discuss ideas for the events and how we could get students involved. Through my work on the Scholars Council, I found joy in being a leader in the Macaulay community, and I would love to continue to do this again next year.

    If re-elected, I will continue to advocate for student concerns to the council to ensure their voices are heard, no matter how big or small. I will effectively be a bridge between Macaulay and Queens to ensure that everyone knows what is going on at Macaulay. I will continue to connect my cohort with the proper resources needed to be successful. I want to keep this Macaulay Queens community thriving because our journey here at Macaulay is not done as we enter junior year; I want to ensure everyone feels supported and connected to Macaulay despite the distance. I am excited to see what next year has to offer, and whatever is thrown at us, I will be sure to stand behind you guys and amplify any concerns you may have.     Ayana Singh

    Hi Macaulay QC!! 🧡🧡 I’m Ayana Singh, an economics major who wants to make sure that your voices and needs are heard! I’m running to be your future sophomore class rep to represent all of you and advocate for your needs.

    Why me? From founding a sustainability club called EcoFinance at Queens College to creating a cultural club in my high school known as Brown At Bowne I’ve had many roles as a leader. I’ve dedicated my time to creating a space for students to further their niche interests and find a sense of community. I also served on my high school’s student government, working on events attended by 100-300+ students and advocating for the needs of the student body. created many events that brought several students together and created long-lasting memories.

    As displayed, one of my goals is to create fun events for my fellow students and to make their college experience memorable while making lifelong friends along the way. Beyond events, I would advocate for better academic resources, such as pushing for more study groups among students or even helping to find academic support resources for you guys. I hope to help you guys succeed in academics and to be a supporting figure along your college journey.
