    Hey Macaulay Queens 2026!

    Firstly, I want to thank you all for electing me to serve as your MSC representative for the past two years!

    On the council, I have had the privilege of being part of the campus affairs committee, helping with all club-related things at Macaulay. Most importantly, I have been able to provide support for clubs whenever they need it.

    Additionally, this past year, I have been able to invite Macaulay’s Career Development and Wellness Center to host workshops for us all at Queens: bringing part of Macaulay Central to you all. These are some events that I hope to continue creating for you all next year.

    For our senior year, I plan to work with the administration at Macaulay and Queens to create an unforgettable year for us all, including working with you all to get feedback on senior sendoff events. Lastly, I will continue to foster connections between our class and build bridges between us at Queens and Macaulay Central.

    It would be an honor if you re-elect me to serve as your representative for the 2025 – 2026 academic year.

    Tin Ng

    Hey Everyone! I’m Tin, and I’m re-running as Brooklyn’s rising Junior representative on the Macaulay Scholars Council. In the past year, I learned a lot from being your representative, from monthly cohort emails to hosting a Christmas event right before winter break. I was extremely grateful that we had some leadership from the Macaulay building come all the way down to Brooklyn, such as Dean Byrne and Provost Meeks on the Dean’s visit, and Director of Career Development Gianina Chrisman for the handshake registration event.

    While I had a super eventful year with MSC, I don’t think my work is done. Future goals I have as your representative are to promote more events at Brooklyn College, hope to alleviate any concerns you guys have regarding things like the opportunities fund and graduating requirements, as well as be a voice for you guys to the Deans directly through events such as College Council.

    So, vote for Tin AGAIN as the 2027 Class Representative!

    Emmy DeMuro

    Hi!! My name is Emmy and I’m a rising Senior at CSI. I’ve had the amazing opportunity of serving on Scholars Council since my freshman year and as the representative for CSI 2026 since my sophomore year!
    During my time serving on Scholars Council I have served on the Community Service committee and this year as VP of Community Service. I have gotten to host many wonderful service events for Macaulay Students such as community garden workdays, many clothing drives and the annual American Lung Association’s Fight for Air. Additionally as VP of Community Service I oversee the upkeep of the master excel file for all community service opportunities for Macaulay Students which has been able to help countless students fulfill their service requirement.

    If re-elected I would love to continue to establish and maintain a good atmosphere for students both inside and outside the classroom. I have absolutely adored planning events and seeing our community truly come together. Those who know me have always described me as hardworking, persistent and easily approachable which I believe are essential traits of any leader in a community. I would love to be elected to continue being a voice for those who truly care about Macaulay and everyone who is in this amazing community !

    Hello everyone! My name is Ian Saraceni and I’m a third year student at Baruch.

    I’m currently your Baruch Macaulay Scholars Council Representative, and I’d love to continue representing you!

    Why I Want Your Vote:
    I believe I can do some good for every Macaulay student. If you know me, I’m a pretty easygoing person and I’m always happy to speak with you. I’m also creative when it comes to problem-solving, and I’m known for championing great ideas and causes.

    Gabriella Rosales

    Hi everyone!! My name is Gabriella Rosales, and I would be honored to be elected as your sophomore Macaulay Scholars Council representative! These past two semesters, I made an effort to increase connectivity, both through Macaulay central and at our home campus. One of my goals before I was elected was to reinstate the Macaulay Olympics. I not only helped bring it back to life, but I was a strong advocate for it to take place here at CSI and aided with coordinating on the backend. Through the Macaulay Olympics and over the past few months, Staten Island has certainly stepped away from ‘forgotten borough,’ and is recognized as an integral part of Macaulay student life. Another one of my goals was to advocate for the Macaulay central administration to visit CSI to meet with us and the cohort to get to know our needs better. Dean Byrne, Dean Hoover, and Provost Meeks all visited us and talked with us in Anita and Lisa’s office. Pushing for initiatives like these to help foster an open space where your ideas are welcome and heard is so important to me.

    I currently do my best to promote our campus and activities that we do on social media, collaborating with other Macaulay accounts to make our voices and accomplishments seen. I love talking to all of you and always welcome any feedback or suggestions, I’m here for all of you and hope to continue to create a strong family here at CSI. For the next semester, I hope to push for the next Macaulay Olympics to happen, continue chats with the deans, and create a tradition out of the Macaulay CSI Picnic! I would also love to implement a Macaulay Open Mic Night, Cultural Cuisine Potluck, Game Night, and in the future, possibly host an Alumni Career Panel!

    Creating more events for our campus at CSI would make commuting easier, and there is definitely a need for bonding between the classes here. Mingling with students older than us is so important as it allows for us to help one another! I am always open to trying new things, and with my experiences in the council this past year, I have a lot of motivation going forward to continue to push for more events to help make your experience a great one!

    The goal of being on the council is, “To unify all 8 Macaulay Honors College campuses, build community, and increase communication.” I hope to continue to be present in the Macaulay building to help connect and unify the Macaulay campuses together!     Nasir Anderson

    Hey Everyone!

    My name is Nasir Anderson, and I am excited to announce that I will be running again to represent the 2027 cohort at Queens College for the 2025-2026 school year! I’ve enjoyed serving as a point person for my cohort members these two years on the Macaulay Scholars Council. I have sent endless updates in our group chat about ways to get involved within the community, and social events, and have been receptive to ideas on how we can make our home campus for all. In addition to sending out monthly updates for my cohort and for the staff.

    This year, I had the pleasure to serve as the Vice President of Student Life, where I coordinated MSC’s social events like the Freshmen Mixer, Halloween party, and Winter Formal. I am glad that I had the opportunity to contribute to the mission of MSC in creating cross-campus events for people to come together from all eight campuses to take a break from our studies. Additionally, I was on the planning committee for the Macaulay Olympics, in which we came together monthly to discuss ideas for the events and how we could get students involved. Through my work on the Scholars Council, I found joy in being a leader in the Macaulay community, and I would love to continue to do this again next year.

    If re-elected, I will continue to advocate for student concerns to the council to ensure their voices are heard, no matter how big or small. I will effectively be a bridge between Macaulay and Queens to ensure that everyone knows what is going on at Macaulay. I will continue to connect my cohort with the proper resources needed to be successful. I want to keep this Macaulay Queens community thriving because our journey here at Macaulay is not done as we enter junior year; I want to ensure everyone feels supported and connected to Macaulay despite the distance. I am excited to see what next year has to offer, and whatever is thrown at us, I will be sure to stand behind you guys and amplify any concerns you may have.     Susan Lin

    Hi everyone!

    My name is Susan, and I am a rising junior at CCNY. I have had the honor of serving as our class representative for the past two years, and I hope to continue for another year!
    During my time on the Council, I have served on the IT/Communications Committee and helped organize events like Winter Formal, Macaulay Olympics, and many more. Through the IT Committee, I have helped manage the @macaulay2027, @macaulayscholarscouncil, @macaulayhonors2029, and @macaulayhonors2028 Instagram accounts, organized account takeovers, and updated the Scholars Council website each month.

    Beyond the Council, I have been involved in Macaulay’s new initiatives like the Restorative Justice program, Design for America, and the Collaborative Wellness Project, all with the goal of building a stronger, more connected Macaulay community across all campuses. I have also served as a peer mentor for both Macaulay and CCNY Honors freshmen, which has further strengthened my leadership skills and dedication to supporting our community.

    If re-elected, my goals are to continue supporting you as we approach milestones like study abroad opportunities, the capstone project, and more. I want to be a resource for you to help ensure that everyone feels prepared, supported, and connected.

    Karuna Aikawa

    Hey! My name is Karuna Aikawa and I am running to be your rep for the ’25-’26 school year. I take pride in being a CCNY Macaulay student and I’d love to represent you all. I am passionate about advocacy, growth, balance, inclusivity, and ambition.

    If you didn’t already know, I had the pleasure of being rep this past school year. It was great getting to know you all through events, classes, and just little random moments. These moments have given me strength and a reason to continue showing up and advocating.
    I participated in the Dean’s Fireside Chat which allowed me to learn more about our what happens behind the scenes of Macaulay, and the CUNY Women’s Leadership Conference, where I learned about what it takes to be a strong, persuasive leader.
    I’m most proud of hosting a volunteering event in the Bronx, holding a bake sale/social event at the Macaulay Building, and managing the CCNY Macaulay instagram page!
    However, there were more things I wanted to accomplish for us.

    Being active in our school gave me a sense of belonging. We are a hardworking and dedicated group of students, who are kind, supportive, and unique. I don’t want financial circumstances, proximity limitations, or any other conflicts to get in the way of us moving towards our goals. I want to do more than just show commitment towards being rep. I want to be more persistent and brave about reaching out and asking for support — whether that be resources, opportunities, and/or money.

    George Tom

    Hey everyone! My name is George, and I am a sophomore at Hunter College.

    For the past 2 years, I have served as my cohort’s representative on MSC, advocating for student needs both in monthly council meetings and on campus through various communication channels. Most recently, I had the honor of serving as the VP of Finance this past year, where I chaired committee meetings to decide how best to fairly and equitably allocate club funds to make the amazing student activities you all hold come to life.

    From planning events like the Macaulay Olympics to facilitating an open and kind discussion forum with our Instagram group, I remain committed to fostering a community built on collaboration and not on competition – a core value of mine that I am confident will allow all of us to be the best we can.

    I am proud and deeply appreciative of all the new friends I have made these past few years. Representative or not, I look forward to maintaining these relationships as not only your peer but as your friend through and through. Inclusion has always been crucial in my mission to foster a community both in Macaulay and at Hunter, a value I will always uphold as your representative. While I can inundate you with the age-old phrase “your voice matters,” I do not want or need to tell you that – each and every one of you has given me a platform to advocate on your behalf and will always be amazing individuals in my heart. I am confident that my experiences and qualities will speak more to my candidacy than these words, and if I still haven’t gotten the chance to meet you, hi!

    Ayana Singh

    Hi Macaulay QC!! 🧡🧡 I’m Ayana Singh, an economics major who wants to make sure that your voices and needs are heard! I’m running to be your future sophomore class rep to represent all of you and advocate for your needs.

    Why me? From founding a sustainability club called EcoFinance at Queens College to creating a cultural club in my high school known as Brown At Bowne I’ve had many roles as a leader. I’ve dedicated my time to creating a space for students to further their niche interests and find a sense of community. I also served on my high school’s student government, working on events attended by 100-300+ students and advocating for the needs of the student body. created many events that brought several students together and created long-lasting memories.

    As displayed, one of my goals is to create fun events for my fellow students and to make their college experience memorable while making lifelong friends along the way. Beyond events, I would advocate for better academic resources, such as pushing for more study groups among students or even helping to find academic support resources for you guys. I hope to help you guys succeed in academics and to be a supporting figure along your college journey.

    Hey Macaulay 🦁🧡! I’m Jirel Gonzalez, your local 4.0 research driven enthusiast, biology major, an OG vanilla froyo enthusiast (with sprinkles of course), and I’m looking to be to your next MHC sophomore rep! 🫡

    I’m sure you’re wondering what I can bring to the table 🥸. Well, I was a secretary for a program a year ago, where I would manage over 100 student’s email announcements meticulously, sending weekly recaps with opportunities I found to fit their interests and goals. I also have a better sense than ever of what being part of the Macaulay community is like, getting the opportunity to make connections with so many of you these past two semesters ☺️!

    My main goal is to advocate for you guys in a way that I know how; attending budget meetings and curating events for your interests! I plan on making Macaulay at Hunter a place you can relax during Finals week with food and comfort, or even spend sleepless nights with accompanied by a movie and a stuffed friend! 🧸🤎. We’re already doing and sharing so many amazing things, and I plan on continuing them with the same enthusiasm!

    Julianna Spoto

    Hey, class of 2028! I’m Julianna Spoto and I’m running to represent you as
    Macaulay Hunter rep! I am hoping to make your time at Macaulay the most rewarding it
    can be for you, whether it’s by having more social events or pre-professional
    opportunities. I am majoring in Political Science and Psychology and minoring in Legal
    Studies on the pre-law track; am an active member of Macaulay Theater Club,
    Macaulay Pre-Law Club, and am on the executive board for Macaulay Marauders. At
    Hunter, I am a part of Mock Trial Society and even competed in an American Mock Trial
    Association (AMTA) regional tournament, representing Hunter as the first CUNY to
    compete in an AMTA competition. While this past year at Macaulay Hunter has given
    me so many opportunities and allowed me to further develop skills like public speaking
    and time management, I also have experience from high school where I held numerous

    Since high school, I’ve been passionate about creating spaces where everyone feels seen, heard, and supported. Through organizing outreach programs and working with DOE ambassadors on issues like equity, accessibility, and mental health, I’ve learned how powerful the community can be when we come together.

    At Macaulay, I’ve had the privilege of serving on the Scholars Council for the past three years. I’ve seen firsthand how important it is to build strong ties between students and administration, and how creating an inclusive, welcoming environment helps every student thrive.

    I’m excited to continue this work and bring fresh energy to our community. If elected, I will focus on encouraging connections — helping us share experiences, learn from one another, and celebrate the incredible diversity that makes Macaulay so special.
