Hi everyone! My name is Mavluda Khaidarova, and I’m running to be your Student Council Representative for Hunter campus.
I believe being a representative means more than just showing up at meetings — it’s about listening, supporting, and building a real community together. Over the past few years, I’ve served as President of the Green Team, where I led recycling and tree-planting projects, and as Planning Committee Director in National Honor Society, where I organized school-wide service events. Through Seeds of Fortune and other leadership programs, I’ve worked on creating opportunities for underrepresented students. I’ve also been a tutor and mentor, helping kids in both academics and swimming gain skills and confidence.
For this work, I was honored with the Assemblyman Kalyan Yeager Community Service Award, which reflects not only what I’ve done, but also the values I want to bring here — service, compassion, and teamwork.
As your representative, I will:
• Make sure Hunter students have a strong and respected voice at Macaulay.
• Create more opportunities for us to connect and support each other.
• Speak up about what matters to our class so we all feel seen and included.
Like many of you, I’ve felt imposter syndrome starting this new chapter. But I’ve also learned that even when we doubt ourselves, we can still bring something unique and valuable to the bigger picture. That’s the perspective I want to carry into Student Council.
I’d be honored to represent our campus and work with you to make our Macaulay years exciting, meaningful, and unforgettable.
Thank you for your support!
Mavluda Khaidarova
