Hello, JJ bloodhounds!
I’m Edwin and I decided to run to be the JJ representative for Macaulay Honors Scholars Council for our class. My intention is to be an active leader in the community and to just have fun. I believe that once you really get to know me, you’ll see how locked in and fierce I can be. 😛🙏
In terms of leadership I’d say I have skills and mind for it. My schooling days were rough until I learned discipline through the many clubs I joined. I managed my school’s math team to many Perennial Math victories (even though I hated math 😔). My time at various leadership programs (Queens Teens Institute & Student Health and Resource Expert) has shaped me into a decision-maker, planner, and researcher. Trust that I will analyze and take every snippet into consideration.🤞
As for my character, I’m someone that speaks their mind and isn’t afraid of confrontation. Throughout childhood I have been quiet and easily swayed but after going through the ranks of my high school’s debate team, I’m confident in holding my own stance. The sassy and witted part of my personality is what gets me fired up in arguments. Have no fear that our voices will be heard at those meetings. 😌 Moreover, many of my friends would describe as very loyal. I’m a good listener and open my doors for anyone to talk (I’m no snitch 😉). My biggest motivation is opportunity, I’ll always try something out (evident by running) because I refuse to die with regrets.
