My Fellow Macaulay Honors Scholars,
Hello! My name is Tamia and I’m a first-year student at Brooklyn College. I would be honored to represent your voices as your Scholars Council Representative.
In high school, I was the VP of Finance for one of my school’s self-made businesses (as a part of the Virtual Enterprise course). Throughout the school year, I worked with the C-Suite and VPs of other departments to ensure cordiality between all employees, complete all tasks on our monthly agenda, create a commercial that creatively and accurately reflected our company’s values, and amaze judges at our trade shows! Additionally, as a longtime member of NHS, I worked closely with student government to make the transition for incoming freshmen less stressful and maintain amicable relationships with alumni.
As a former cheerleader and member of debate team, I know cooperation and dedication are key to future success. If elected as your representative, my voice will serve as a projection of all of yours! I will individually communicate with every scholar to ensure their needs for college are met and their identity, opinions and beliefs are respected.
I would deeply appreciate your vote in the upcoming election and would be cherish getting to serve such an unparalleled group of scholars.
