Hello, classmates of Baruch Macaulay, my name is Thomas Solimeo, and I am running to represent you this year as your Macaulay Student Council representative. Ensuring the best for others and serving the role of a leader has been something I have always done. As an older brother, I have always looked to ensure the best for my younger siblings and make sure that their needs are taken care of before my own. Additionally, I have been very determined to spread my leadership to more people by taking on the role of a Patrol Leader for my Boy Scouts of America troop. Over time, I excelled in my position and was eventually promoted to Senior Patrol Leader and now Eagle Scout. Running a troop of thirty boys to be a coherent and high-performing group of individuals while ensuring that their needs and wants are met.
Everyone at Baruch Macaulay earned their spot here, and we can all pride ourselves on the successes. As someone who took on many leadership roles in high school clubs, while maintaining a high GPA, and partaking in internships just like most of you, I understand how crucial it is to have proper representation and an opinion that’s heard, understood, and listened to. I am beyond committed to this role and have always been very passionate about ensuring the best for everyone. Macaulay is a place that will help us grow into future leaders, and when you get to know me, I hope that you will see how important that is to me. I want the best for all of us as we go through our time in college, helping in any way I can to encourage as many accomplishments as possible.
