Hi Macaulay at Brooklyn!
My name is Sophia and I am hoping to be your class of 2028 representative. I am majoring in Art History with a minor in Marketing or French (still figuring it out!) One of my favorite things about Brooklyn College is the variety of studies that students are pursuing across campus. I want to enhance this diversity at both the Brooklyn and Macaulay community through your voice! As a representative, I will advocate for your ideas and interests, from on-campus events to internship opportunities and everything in between.
This past semester, I worked on the Macaulay Resilience Lab with Design for America. As a Macaulay DFA member, I collaborated with other Macaulay students from different campuses and classes, discussing ways in which we can improve Macaulay. My team focused on the question of, How can we have Macaulay students foster stronger communities on their home campus? This idea is exactly what I wish to continue targeting as our class representative. Even if you can’t always make it to the Macaulay building, I will bring the spirit of Macaulay to you here at Brooklyn. Throughout our sophomore year, I will update you on all of the latest opportunities so that you can make the most out of your year. I would like to create an Instagram page or Slack channel for our class, some platform that can serve as a more interactive form of communication.
