ADRIAN ROSALES

Macaulay at Staten Island

Adrian Rosales ’25 is a Finance and Information Systems dual major. And thanks to Macaulay, he’s part of the CUNY Honors Business Hub, where he worked with the program's mentor and retired Deloitte Partner, Rajiv Basu. "Rajiv gave me insightful feedback based on his industry knowledge, and helped me succeed in presenting my findings,” said Adrian. “With his guidance I bridged the gap between my education and the real world.” Adrian will graduate in June and head to Barclays as an Incoming Analyst

CHERRY LEUNG

Macaulay at Baruch

A psychology researcher and creative writer, Cherry Leung ’26 has wide ranging interests that reflect a curious mind. She is a National Science Foundation Climate Researcher who investigates heat island effects in New York City communities. This spring, she had the opportunity to present research at the 2025 Eastern Psychological Association conference. In addition, she interns at Astra Publishing House, and one of her stories was recently featured in Baruch's Encounters Magazine. “In my free time,” says Cherry, “I perform in theatre, make ’zines, and slowly chip away at my first novel.”

DAVID OKE

Macaulay at Hunter

David Oke ’27 is majoring in Urban Studies and Computer Science. He enjoys using his programming skills to highlight issues impacting the lives of New Yorkers, such as urban density and land surface temperature. With Macaulay's support, he’ll head to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga this summer to conduct research with the National Science Foundation and focus on the socio-ecological role of greenways in urban areas. A passionate urbanist interested in public transit and bike infrastructure, David says “I'm excited to study in a new city!”

DEBORAH UGO-OMENUKWA

Macaulay at Hunter

I thrive on meaningful conversations that inspire introspection, connection, and growth," says Deb Ugo-Omenukwa ’26. These strong values drive her current focus as a Social Psychology major, McNair Scholar, and Macaulay student mediator. Deb currently works as a Research Assistant at Hunter College’s Silberman School of Social Work, supporting the Peace Brokers Project in its efforts to reduce violence in New York City communities. Deb will pursue a PhD in Social Work and further strive to design approaches that promote healing, accountability, and community building.

HARITHA LAKSHMANAN

Macaulay at Brooklyn

Haritha Lakshmanan ’25 will graduate from Macaulay with a BA in Physics in just a few weeks and go on to attend SUNY Downstate Medical School in the fall. She is currently training as an EMT through the prestigious NYU Langone EMT Program, a fully funded initiative that prepares students for emergency medical service. In addition to her academic pursuits, Haritha serves as Treasurer of the Undergraduate Student Government at Brooklyn College and writes about science topics for Macaulay Messenger, a student newspaper.

NIDHI MAHADEVAN

Macaulay at Brooklyn

Nidhi Mahadevan ’25 had the opportunity to serve as a research assistant at the Hospital for Special Surgery during the summer after her freshman year. And in a few weeks, she'll graduate with her BA in Anthropology and a minor in Biology. Her passion for both biological anthropology and primate evolution has inspired her to pursue a career in medicine and global health. “I am especially interested in musculoskeletal health,” Nidhi says, “and hope to explore this field in clinical and research settings.
