The Macaulay Scholars Council is an important and influential voice of\u00a0the Macaulay\u00a0student\u00a0body at CUNY, helping to foster the essential dual\u00a0identity every Macaulay student bears. The group is\u00a0made up of\u00a0representatives from each\u00a0class year and\u00a0campus\u00a0of Macaulay, but all are\u00a0welcome\u00a0to\u00a0participate\u00a0and\u00a0contribute. The Council’s mission is to promote an\u00a0informed and involved Macaulay student body, building cross-campus community\u00a0through sponsorship of various activities and providing\u00a0counsel to the Macaulay administration.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Representatives of the\u00a0Scholars Council\u00a0will\u00a0determine\u00a0a new club\u2019s eligibility based on their charter.\u00a0The Scholars\u00a0Council will also\u00a0determine\u00a0the allocation of funding a club\u00a0will receive\u00a0for the academic year.\u00a0Elections for the Scholars Council are held in April (with\u00a0first-year\u00a0positions being\u00a0elected the following fall). The executive board of the\u00a0Scholars\u00a0Council will be voted on at the first meeting of the year, by the\u00a0newly elected\u00a0representatives.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Student Election Review Committee (SERC)\u200b<\/p>\n

The student election review committee (SERC) is a small committee of impartial Macaulay staff members that review the conduct and process of student elections. More specifically, it establishes the election rules and guidelines. It also ensures proper protocols for election procedures, voting, and certification of election results.<\/p>\n
