MACAULAY HONORS COLLEGE

All rentals support student experiences.

Part of the mission of Macaulay Honors College is to provide access and education. Our rental space program was established to give the community opportunities to come into our building, make use of our gorgeous space and facilities, and pursue their own educational, artistic, or professional goals.

Pricing is kept low to ensure that non-profit, community-based, or educational organizations may access the spaces. All proceeds go into the Macaulay Commencement fund, which allows us to provide a meaningful celebration to our graduates each year.

The building was constructed in 1905 by the Swiss Benevolent society to temporarily house its citizens and help them transition to life in the United States. Charming details remain, including shields representing different regions of Switzerland visible under the cornice, and a boot scraper on the top step. Interesting trivia: the building once housed survivors of the Titanic disaster.* The City University of New York purchased the building in 2008 with a generous gift from Linda and Bill Macaulay.
