Research can be a powerful form of civic engagement when it helps us better understand and address the issues that affect our communities. We invite all students to consider how their research contributes to the public good, whether by advancing knowledge, improving community wellbeing, or addressing social, environmental, health or other public challenges.
This year, for the first time, we will recognize one project producing research in service of the public good. We invite faculty to nominate a Macaulay Honors student whose research, including creative projects, not only deepens the academic inquiry but also has the potential to make a meaningful impact beyond the classroom.
