The Social Media Content Volunteer role offers a fantastic opportunity to engage with students across all eight campuses and collaborate with Macaulay staff. You’ll work closely with the Marketing and Communications team and your peers to develop strategic virtual engagement initiatives. Additionally, you’ll become part of a vibrant club-like community. As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to create networks with various students as well as develop a unique relationship with staff. You will develop your communication, social media skills, and network within the Macaulay Community. Indulge in your own interests and share your passions with the wider Macaulay community by creating tiktok style content. This experience can be added to your resume and you will be able to use Macaulay Communications as a reference for future applications.
Responsibilities:
Content Volunteers will partner together and with Content Coordinators and Macaulay Marketing & Communications team to produce content, network, and collaborate with other students on social media projects.
The time commitment for each role is 1-3 hours per month at the Macaulay Building (35 W 67th Street).
- Attend monthly meetings at the Macaulay Building
- Guest contribute a video or piece of content 2/semester (or more!)
- Attend 2 Content Volunteer Events each semester
- Assist with student engagement promotion, such as creating event flyers and posting on social media and learn Macaulay style guide
- Add profile to website (optional)
*Note: this opportunity would not count towards fulfilling the Macaulay community service hours requirement. This position is mostly in-person, or a hybrid of remote and in-person.
